Savola Foods Egypt is seeking to hire: Procurement Senior Manager

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Job Responsibilities
To Lead the Procurement & Sourcing activities of the Category spending pools to deliver the right cost, payment terms that affects cash flow and is owning the overall supplier relationship management for his spending pools’ suppliers.
People Management:
Supervise the respective team of direct and indirect reports through contributing to effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning, to maximize team performance and achieve functional objectives.

Operational Management:
Contribute to the management of the daily operations of own area of accountability by providing expertise, enabling teamwork, and aligning processes, to achieve high performance standards and meet established targets.

Supplier Database:
Establish and maintain a database of local and international suppliers in order to ensure that accurate and up to date supplier records are established and maintained.

Supplier Relationship Management:
Owning the overall supply relationship management that includes negotiating contracts terms, gathering the key stockholders, and consider the escalation point for both the material planning team or the supplier sales team in any conflicts or lack of communication or performance.

Vendor Selection Analysis:
Lead the process of the vendor selection analysis for the direct material to provide best value option analysis that evaluate suppliers not only based on price but covers different business needs like payment terms, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation and history.

Supplier Performance:
Undertake supplier performance management on quarterly and yearly basis with taking into consideration the input of other stakeholders from supply chain and quality in order to ensure that they adhere to procurement policies, agreed terms, agreed service performance measures and agreed quality levels of supplied products/service and reporting any deviations which will impact future dealings.

Requirements:
Minimum Academic Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related post from a recognized academic institution (Preferably mechanical / civil engineering)
Minimum Professional Qualifications: Advanced Qualification in Supply Chain / Sourcing and procurement is preferred.
Minimum Functional Experience:>10 years of progressive functional experience in the Procurement function
Minimum Managerial Experience: 6-8 years of managerial or leadership position in a Procurement organization is highly recommended.

Minimum English Literacy: Level 4 (Advanced)
