As an AutoCAD draftsman with a strong understanding and background in interior design, joinery and fit-out principles, you play a vital role in transforming design concepts into accurate, detailed and functional technical drawings. Your expertise in AutoCAD, combined with your in-depth knowledge of interior design, carpentry and fit-out concepts, will enable you to create drawings that guide the successful execution of projects in this specialized field.
Basic tasks:
Create detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevation drawings, section drawings and construction details, using AutoCAD.
Ensure that drawings adhere to industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.
Interior design integration:
Collaborate closely with interior designers to understand the design vision and intent of each project.
Incorporate interior design elements and concepts into technical drawings to ensure consistency with overall aesthetic and functional goals.
Experience in joinery and finishing:
Apply your knowledge of joinery and finishing principles to create precise, custom carpentry and millwork drawings, such as cabinets, built-in furniture, and wall panels.
Make sure the joinery and fittings elements blend seamlessly into the overall design.
Assist in selecting materials, finishes, and products that conform to project specifications and design concepts.
Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design, joinery, and fit-out requirements.
Use software to efficiently and accurately translate design concepts into technical drawings.
Participate in design and coordination meetings to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Degree or diploma in architecture, interior design or related field.
– Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design and drafting software.
Strong understanding of interior design, joinery and fit-out principles.
In-depth knowledge of interior design concepts.
Ability to manage multiple projects
Expertise in materials, finishes and products used in interior design, carpentry and fit-out projects.
