As a hiring Marine Claims Recovery Analyst you will be responsible for managing the recovery process of paid claims where third-party liability or subrogation is involved. The role includes coordinating with various stakeholders, pursuing recoveries from responsible parties, and ensuring timely closure of the cases. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation, analytical skills, a good understanding of insurance policies and past working experience in the insurance industry in a similar role.
Assess and identify claims eligible for recovery due to third-party liability or subrogation opportunities.
Analyze claim files and documentation to determine recovery potential.
Initiate recovery actions by communicating with liable third parties, their insurers, or legal representatives.
Coordinate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary documentation to support recovery efforts.
Monitor and manage a portfolio of recovery cases, ensuring each case progresses in a timely and efficient manner.
Negotiate settlement agreements with third parties to maximize recovery amounts.
Work closely with legal department for other support services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recovery cases, including their status, detailed communications, and outcomes.
Prepare regular reports on recovery progress, outstanding cases, and overall performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure a smooth recovery process.
Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including clients, third-party insurers, and legal representatives.
Job specific requirements :
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Law. Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marine insurance claims, recovery roles.
Experience in negotiation and handling third-party liability claims is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
In-depth understanding of insurance policies claims processes, and recovery principles.
Note: This is an office-based role located at our Qatar head office. Preference will be given to candidates who are locally available with a QID and NOC.
