This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Import Specialist located in Al Jizah, Egypt. The Senior Import Specialist will be responsible for managing the import process, coordinating with vendors, shipping agents, customs clearance agents and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The role will involve handling import documents, resolving any customs issues, and ensuring smooth and efficient import operations.
Qualifications
• Experience in import operations
• Knowledge of international trade regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficiency in relevant import/export software and tools
• Very good English language is mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience in the heavy machinery industry is a plus
Responsibilities
• Arranging insurance with forwarders and insurance companies
• Following orders labeling and inspection before shipping
• Confirming shipping documents and issuing ACIDs for shipments
• Guaranteeing smooth clearance till release with suppliers and clearance agents
• Contacting suppliers and getting offers
• Negotiating prices and arranging payments
• Managing warehouses team and inventory.
