We are seeking a skilled Trade Finance Specialist with expertise in Letter of Credit (LC) transactions and TT shipments. The ideal candidate should possess an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certification and demonstrate a solid understanding of international trade finance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Letter of Credit (LC) Management:
Review and process LC applications in compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
Advise internal stakeholders on LC terms and conditions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Monitor LC transactions throughout their lifecycle, from issuance to settlement, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely payment.
TT Shipment Processing:
Coordinate telegraphic transfer shipments, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and payment instructions.
Collaborate with logistics and shipping departments to facilitate smooth TT shipment processes.
Verify shipment documents and resolve discrepancies promptly to minimize delays and risks.
Financial Compliance:
Ensure all trade finance activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of trade finance operations to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding trade finance inquiries and issues.
Build strong relationships with clients, banks, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient trade finance operations.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare comprehensive reports on trade finance activities, including LC utilization, TT shipment volumes, and financial performance.
Analyze trends and recommend strategies to optimize trade finance processes and minimize risks.
Qualifications:
ACCA certification or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance.
Proven experience in trade finance operations, with a focus on LC management and TT shipments.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, including UCP 600 and ISBP.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
Proficiency in trade finance software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
